Eureka Springs Aikido

Eureka Springs Aikido helps students learn and practice Aikido, a popular form of martial arts. Zach started Eureka Springs Aikido with a passion for Aikido and helping people improve their lives. He’s seen the transformation that Aikido has made on his and his students' lives.

He hopes to grow his classes into having his own dojo that holds weekend Aikido training retreats — A place where students can come to train, relax and meet other students.

The strategy behind the symbol

In my research, I noticed how important the hand positioning in Aikido is. This logo tells the story of interlocking hands. The swish conveys movement and connection.

The way this logo is mirrored and balanced conveys movement and harmony. Qualities that are very important to the Aikido way of life. This logo could also be seen as a wrapped belt, which ties in with the belts that practitioners earn.

Created a strategic brand and website to attract new students.

Created and sent polls to students for target audience research and testimonials.

SEO research and implementation to rank on Google.

Designed and built a strategic website with clear call-to actions to compel visitors to sign up for classes.

The kick-ass results

Within the first month and a half of launching his brand and website, he had 7 students join his classes (very good for the small town he’s based in).

During the first month after the website launch, he ranked #1 on Google for the chosen keywords.

We were able to improve Google ranks for his Facebook page and his community page to rank in the top 5 search results for his keywords.

He now has a brand that can evolve with him in his journey of growing Eureka Springs Aikido.
